First of all, AIESEC is a student-run organisation and nobody could expect as high level of professionalism.
AIESEC RUC has demonstrated so far that it was able to meet unexpected expectations. What I mean by that? They are still students with their own studies and personal life and yet, they are running a local committee in Mainland of China. The expectations set on them by the other AIESEC, the EPs and by themselves are high indeed.
I'm pretty much satisfied by the level of commitment shown by the organizing committee of the "Dare to Dream" Project. Though some problems were encountered, they have tried their best to solve them and satisfy the needs of everyone.
[ I would have wished to help them with some technical advice though but I just can't say anything as I fear that I might offend them ]
At the moment that I'm writing this article, they are still working on the next training day. How cool is that? At 2 AM, they are still up and preparing for the next day's work!
Moreover, language barrier is definitely a problem. I can hardly confirm whether it is a minor or major one because it is more of a case by case situation. As an observation, communication between the organizing committee and the foreign volunteers is in english but they would stick to their mandarin language for 'internal' communication.
I believe that the training will be successful. That everything will keep on going well. I believe in AIESEC RUC and I believe in the success of "Dare to Dream" project 2010!
